Is it your view that it would make me a better person if I had done so? No, I like you fine the way you are. However, seeing as how you are a denizen of the Ivory Tower, particularly as a social scientist, I was just checking to make sure you did not think you were in the center. My husband likes to tell the tale of how the media were shocked when Nixon was elected, because nobody they knew voted for him. Media bias is one of his hobbyhorses. I don't expect you have many Nixon voters (much less Goldwater or Reagan voters) on your faculty.
