I've noticed the same thing. It's clearly about revenue. And it's no coincidence. Heck I was clocked (I have radar detector) at 8am on Easter. WTF is that all about? Well, guess what, Easter just happened to be on the last day of the month. Quotas to be met you know.

you'll love this, odb.

A few years ago I was stopped by a cop -- didn't know it at the time -- but my license plates had expired.

Cops first question: Er ... what do you do for a living??

Kinda puzzled by this, I told him and asked why he needed to know.

He wrote me a ticket for $80. Come to find out later -- he actually had the legal discretion on the amount from something like $20 to $80. I got a ticket for $80 because I told him I was an engineer.

I am not making this up ...
