Let me understand your reasoning here. Some company has duplicated Postscript (a competitor of MS) so you don't think that company is in danger, but instead ms should worry? Does or win this cinelerra work in a pc environment? What a brilliant well reasoned conclusion. Unless this company releases a Macintosh version of their video-editing program, I don't think anyone need be worried. Most video editing professionals favor Macintoshes, and the prospect that those users will dump their Macs and flock to Linux for a no-name video editing program, is only slightly more ridiculous than en masse move to Linux you seem to be anticipating. And the $10,000 software figure you cite seems equally as fictional as the $2,500 Windows entry-level machine price that you apparently no longer mention.
