The only thing new in that announcement is the strained silicon I noticed that as well... interesting...

IBM was bragging about this technology for a long time, and all the while, Intel had it, too, and was keeping modest. I'm sure having it now gives them a competitive advantage over others in the industry. The best part is they may have beaten IBM to market with this technology.
