Some say "Let's take Iraq yesterday", some say "nuke 'im", some say "more proof".

I suspect you'd have to wait a few years for that other shoe. After all, I remember the advance publicity of the Gulf War "the world's fourth largest army vs. the third largest"..... oooooh, scary. But I already knew that half that army consisted of unwilling abductees armed with the military equivalent of rocks and sticks. And as we learned after, a PR firm manufactured stories about the hospital babies to build that war fever.

It is just such manufactured information that drives the need for verification. And as I noted previously, the imminence of that shoe dropping gets touted more and more whenever verification questions rise.

I think Congress is capable of determining the truth within a reasonable period of time. And if the danger of Hussein is so imminent, why is Bush on vacation instead of providing evidence to sustain our national security?
