If Clinton is the cause of the 90's boom, he is also the cause of the dot-com bubble and the sky-high valuations that inevitably collapsed, taking much of the nation's (paper) wealth with it.

This is absolutely correct. He can't take credit for the boom, unless he is willing to be charged with the economic collapse.

Further, it has now come out that the "boom" was manufactured through bogus statistical measures. The boom wasn't quite so much of a boom after all. "It's the Economy, Stupid" is supported by, "Tell 'em anything, They'll Believe it".

Funny how he didn't leave much of a legacy behind, given that the so-called "golden period" faded months before he left office.

The longest economic expansion in the history of the US and you don't think that's an adequate legacy. I guess you just can't make some people happy. <g>

Ten, I don't think you should jump to that conclusion. Let's just say the recession will be blamed on Mr. Bush......he already acts like its his fault so he might as well take the blame. He'll assume that the Bush family has a genetic predisposition to recessions. Wait, forget that.........he probably doesn't know what genetic predisposition means. ;~))
