Luckily not I am not, but some from our firm were let go. It's a big contrast to 4-5 months ago when they were planning to ramp-up for the 'big upturn'. I think it's pretty common with high-tech companies when they want to cut costs but not go as far as lay-off employees. SUNW...same thing happening-- Applied is one of the companies planning to outsource their entire ERP upgrade to one of these Indian consulting firms in Bangalore. This is a 50% reduction in the cost of bringing up one of these systems (personally I think you get what you pay for and Applied might have a tough time with this but anyway...). L
