Yes, it would not surprise me, when his symptoms warrant, Heston gives up his guns.

You keep on trying to justify Saddam's building of WMD with his wish to stay alive. I do not believe this. I still believe that Saddam is a person, who believes that winning Very Big Gains usually require taking Very Big Risks. In this case, the risk is that he will be removed from power and/or killed. The "big gain" is that, (if he is allowed to keep his nukes, and stay in power) he would be able to control the flow of over 80% of the worlds oil supply. The ability to effectively control the world's oil supply, would allow Saddam to control the events not only through out the Persian Gulf and Middle East, but the world's economy. To him, I'm sure, that gamble is worth risking his life.
