Republican Bill Simon Jr. laid off more than two dozen employees of his gubernatorial campaign Wednesday in an effort to preserve scarce financial resources for television ads, sources said. For all the complaining about Davis, looks as though he'll win. I wonder if Republicans elsewhere are finding it difficult to campaign because they're faced with Bush's failed economy and presidency.
