The Middle East, apart from Israel, threw a party.

You paint with a rather wide brush. I am sure some radical elements in the Middle East rejoiced. There are probably some others closer to the middle who had similar feelings. However there are probably many more that did not. The US hasn't exactly reached out to the Arab nations. The US does not have a balanced foreign policy in the Middle East.

I recall one of the first images posted by one of the major networks showed Palestinians dancing in the streets. Later it was discovered the network had used file footage. One of the ladies dancing in the streets in the film was offended as she did not feel that way.

Some Middle Easterners may have danced in the street. However some Israelis have seen it as an opportunity for military adventure. IMO we should not characterize the many by the actions of the radicals in a society.

If you look for evil you will surely find it.
