Andreas- And the most important thing is that AMD will even briefly reclaim the performance leadership with the XP2600+.

First, you should have given me a little credit for supporting the 2400/2600 rumor. Of course, it hasn't come true yet, has it?

Second, maybe AMD is releasing the CPU on a Wednesday to grab the speed crown.

Third, did you listen to the nVidia conf call? What did you hear about the 333 FSB Athlon?

(edited)Andreas, did the 2400/2600 rumor originate on that German BBS site? Mike Magee gave no souce. The reason I ask is that IF someone there predicted an August 2400/2600 release, then I would be interested in hearing what he said about Hammer releases.
