OT/Give Williams just average years for the 5 seasons he lost to WWII and the Korean War, and I come up with 696 home runs, using his career average of 1 home run every 4.4 games and a 154-game season.

Oh, and 1941 was the year - .406. Was hitting .3955 before that final doubleheader, was urged to sit to protect what was technically a .400 average, but he refused and went 6-for-8 in that doubleheader. Unbelievable.
