It's in the Declaration of Independence: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. It's not a mystery why this is always brought up by the pro immigration people. Like a self righteous smoke screen , a not so veiled threat of calling their opponents racists. It's the inevitable problems caused my more and more of us ,especially Americans who represent only 5% of the worlds population but produce 20% of the worlds pollution and use of natural resources. Of course Malthus was right . Technology has only postponed the out come.
