BTW: MIL says "JDSU connector level products are very good quality, but very expensive compared to others". My recollection about Japan and Taiwan being the other sources for vendors is correct though. And my experience with their products and service still sucks.

Thanks, I was just wondering mostly what all the "strong buys" from the analyst community were about on jdsu. As you know I hate the company. There are some in comm infrastructure- juniper maybe- where you could conceivably make an argument that when/if things recover they will continue to grow, gain share etc. They still own the carriers afaik, and a finished-goods company has their installed base+ service/support to rest on. So analysts might still support them. But jdsu? What an incredible dog. And if they are being knocked off by some cheaper providers what can you say? Still jdsu is lumped in with other a-list companies in the sector by pru etc. I have no idea why.
