i don't think that link was the link you meant?

but apple contracted MSFT to write some apps for the new Mac coming out in 1984.... MSFT never wrote GUI apps before this..... or not much else in the way of user applications for that matter..... (just their copy of the QDOS, and their version of Basic compilers).... i had both actually....

Apple thought everybody was one big happy family, so they gave MSFT Apple's code for the GUI OS coming out, so that MSFT could make these apps work with apple's new OS..... and foolishly didn't have airtight non disclosure forms.....

so MSFT stole apple's concept.... its whole GUI interface......(actually they made a horrible copy to begin with) come to think of it, it still hasn't caught up.... oh well for apple.....and apple got their couple of apps out of MSFT...... Bill Gates actually roled in a Mac to his development team, and said, "see this.... this is what i want"..... so they did.... out popped windows 1.0.....
