The Republican message for November is very simple: Let the people go to the polls, fooling them into believing that Democrats really support a depression and propose to tax us into one. Score points with them by saying that any upcoming deficits were really caused by Bill Clinton, just as Reagan scored by fooling the public into believing that he brought down "The Evil Empire" by himself. You can do it! Just say "Clinton"! It ALWAYS works! Look. The people have been fooled before and they can be fooled again. Just look at George W. Bush. The people have tasted a Supreme Court selection committee in action, listened to a President who can't speak English and watched an economy sink into the toilet. THEY STILL LOVE THE MAN! They should have seen enough, but as long as we keep waving flags and praising God, I think we'll be able to strengthen the American Right's hold on the centers of power and show the world who's really The Boss. Hey! Don't laugh! It worked for The Good Germans.
