If they can't get market share in the most ideal market in the world for their product, where the real estate market sees to it that virtually any home improvement immediately pays for itself in terms of property value -- then where, I ask, can it?

There is 40,000,000,000 square feet of glass produced annually.

That does not mean the whole market calls for smart glass. Maybe 5% of the market could be ripped for smart glass.

Anyhow, it's sure there is a demand for smart glass, That does not make SPD the technology of choice. In my opinion they will never be a competitor on the market. The technology is too limited. Maybe in the best scenario a niche market. As an example, after years of pretending in the rearview mirror market they gave up and since they have been playing catch up with other technologies. If you go to the Airbus, Mercedes sites you'll see electrochromic technology being tested, no mention of SPD.
