This is my last post on the subject for the time being. But the entire discussion began because you declared Clinton your "hero" and suggesting he had accomplishments during his tenure:

"But in terms of a hero, the more I spend under a Bush administration, the more I think my hero is Clinton other than his penchant for adultery. Already people are referring to his tenure as a golden period in our history. "

My point was he was a liar and a criminal, and therefore cannot possibly be a "hero", nor can his presidency be considered a "golden period" -- even if you assume he "caused" the economy (which, of course, he didn't).

Clinton's crime wasn't adultery. It was lying under oath, something not even Richard Nixon did. Lying under oath is, as I've illustrated by this ridiculous series of posts, a VERY SERIOUS crime no matter what the circumstances. There is no difference between lying about adultery in the Paula Jones trial vs. in the hypothetical Ken Lay trial. The crimes are the same. Period.

You need not feel compelled to respond. I'm moving on.
