That's a splendid suggestion, Jochen. Unfortunately, we are dealing with a diplomatically challenged administration which does not believe in multilateralism on any level unless it is strictly for our benefit. Even a symbolic gesture here would greatly enhance the political image of the president abroad. The true success of diplomacy is measured in curried favors saved for a rainy day. I'm a little embarrassed as an American. I hope all goes well in Europe. Regards,
