Certainly, a number of Democrats exhibited traitorous behavior in the aftermath of 9/11. Implying that our president is a coward, for example, gives aid and comfort to the enemy.

Too much of anything, including civility, is harzardous to your health....

The facts are that many demolibs exhibited behavior of which they should be ashamed and which could be reasonably construed as traitorous. Cynthia McKinney's statement leaps to mind as but one example.....I think the retailing of various crackpot anti-Bush conspiracy theories and outright lies and distortions of Administration policy and action also falls into that category.

In a time of war, our public officials and our citizens need to carefully consider the reception their remarks will receive at home and abroad....

Your assumption on September 11 that the American left would miraculously transform itself into a "loyal opposition" and stand, side-by-side, with their hated enemy, the USA, in the new war on terrorism doesn't embarrass you yet? It was proved incredibly wrong within days, and the fight against the American ideal is now, once again, in full swing, with Gephardt's call for a depression so he "can win 40 House seats".

The obvious can only be denied for so long, even by "neo" conservatives...
