University of North Texas System Selects PeopleSoft Enterprise Solutions Pure Internet Applications To Provide Real-Time Information Access For Multi-Campus Institution PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 20, 2002--PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT - News) today announced that the University of North Texas System (UNT System) selected PeopleSoft's industry-leading enterprise solutions, including Customer Relationship Management, Financial Management, Student Administration, Contributor Relations and Human Capital Management. The PeopleSoft applications will provide the UNT System with real-time access to administrative, academic and fundraising information for more than 30,000 students, staff, faculty and alumni. The UNT System selected PeopleSoft's enterprise applications to integrate the academic and administrative systems for all three of its campuses. The UNT System will introduce numerous new process efficiencies to its traditional campus-based population while providing enhanced support for its growing distance-learning community. For example, under the existing system, the legacy system must be disabled to accommodate overnight batch processing and file backups, inconveniencing users who need to access campus information after-hours. PeopleSoft's pure Internet solutions will dramatically transform the system from a largely batch-processing oriented system to a real-time system, significantly reducing down time. PeopleSoft Contributor Relations will be implemented to help the UNT System better manage its fundraising efforts and build stronger relationships with alumni and donors. The UNT System will be able to maintain complete, accurate information about its donor population and generate targeted fundraising campaigns. UNT institutions will use the PeopleSoft solution to empower donors to make online contributions, pay electronically via credit card, set up a payment schedule, specify which school or program they would like their donation to go toward, and track the distribution of their gift, all through the Internet.
