I suspect that when they went to bed, there were three guns in that bed- -Hill had one and Bill had two. :-)

In their case, they probably would lie- -to nail each other.

I seem to recall that some decades back, spouses couldn't testify against each other in court. Does that match your recollection? (You being an olde dawg.)
