Yup...Kissenger emphasized that MORE THAN ONCE....He also said he was not sure it was essential to go to war...He was clearly NOT in favor of unilateral intervention...He did distinguish his position from what he thinks Scowcroft is advocating...And of course he did not reveal what he and Powell discussed in their recent meeting together...=)

Sounds like Kissinger is saying, vis a vis, debates, that rather than hang them before we have a trial, let's hang them after it.

K says you can have a short period for inspections, then we'll go in; K says you can have a short period for debate, then we'll go in.

If Bush follows that advice on consulting with allies and the country, he deserves a one term presidency.
