I'm 10% stocks, with the rest in bonds and arbitrage.

CSCO can break out technically, but the economic fundamentals and the market valuation are not acceptable to me.

Here is a summary of the short-term problems that could worsen and combine to bring us to new lows this year. It may not happen. The market valuations suggest that I am in a distinct minority with my worries. But I am sitting on the sidelines for the next few weeks to months.

P.S. When I recall how Chambers reassured everybody about CSCO in late November 2000, and then about two weeks later warned that they would not make their quarterly numbers, I don't know how he can have any credibility left.

MM, It looks like you were right to disbelieve CSCOs price breakout. So much for TA.
