Funny you mentioned I-Shares.

I have been doing less posting and a lot more research as the market goes higher. I don't want to jinx the rally. <g>

I just looked at SPDR's, Holdr's and I-shares (ETF's)last night comparing the advantages vs disadvantages each bring vs rydex.

You got tremendous leverage in these vehicles in the form of options to diversify the risk.

With the spread of sector mutual funds came short-term sector trading. This created inefficiencies for the funds, who thus created switching charges and those irritating little front-end loads.

ETF's are perfect for sector-switching traders, but still efficient for long term holders. They are basically an evolutionary step beyond mutual funds-especially now that the myth of the "superior money manager" has been swept away...
