A ridiculous statement. The link I provided cited the sources of its statements. You cited nothing and in fact there IS nothing to support your position. How can anyone have a reasonable conversation with you about these matters when you make a statement like that? Look at the info provided in the link.......much of the conclusive stuff is speculative in nature........."could fabricate, could produce", the operative word being 'could', or "reportedly field tested a radiological bomb", or "may retain biological weapons". The rest of it is basically items that could be said about many nations....."retains a pool of nuclear scientists and engineer", "retains nuclear designs", "maintains [biological] expertise". You think this is providing solid info in order to provoke a "reasonable conversation" with me and to persuade me that this war is necessary and inevitable........well, think again. And if you and Bush believe this info gives him the authority to move against Iraq; he and you should not be surprised when the world en masse objects. You talked in the past about our sovereignty but you have no problem interfering in other nations' sovereignty. There is a reason why our allies are not behind us on Iraq......you might try to figure that one out. Having said all that, I agree with author of the Christian Science article that I posted.......the author by the way is pro Bush. In that article, he states that Bush is motivated to take out Saddam to make up for his father's oversight, negligence, lack of attention to detail etc. [whatever you want to call it] vis-a-vis Saddam, and I agree. This administration thinks it has the pulse of the nation. They got fooled by the patriotic fervor after 9/11. They thought somehow that Bush brought it out of us. They couldn't be further from the truth. It was loyalty to the principles that founded this nation, and anger at the perpetrators of 9/11 who thought they could possibly threaten the continued existence of those principles that invoked the fervor, not dubya. So dubya best be on his best behavior.......the honeymoon is over! ted
