this is important (insofar as anything that happens on SI is important) (it will set a precedent, and change the nature and spirit of this thread drastically)

I already voted, but I would second the motion that any process be more deliberative than simply whoever sees this post today and votes by midnight. It also looks to me like one or two people at least were missing from the voter list, people who have posted here far more often and far longer than I have.
