In Mexico beating your wife is only illegal if the marks last for more than 15 days. Of course, I'm sure that isn't normal today. I believe the law reflects an earlier time. I happened to read this in today's paper.

I read your post, and I say to myself, "where do I start?"

Males abusing females is not a respector of cultures

It is approved up in Muslim Culture. If you extrapolate from Steyn's mention of Denmark, about 1% of the population is responsible for 65% of the rapes. That 1% is Muslim.

one is the "Arabs" and the other is "Muslims.

The worst problem in the world with treatment of females is among those who follow the Muslim Religion. Within that Religion, the worst part, IMO, is among the Arabs. Your refusal to recognize this makes you part of the problem.

someone like Edward Said

Said is a major part of the problem, not part of the solution. His point of view, as is yours, IMO, is an attempt to "diffuse" the problem by refusing to identify it. His intellectual "takeover" in our Universities has made the "experts" there worthless at predicting what is going to happen in the ME, because they are operating on the same "False Premises" that you lay out here.

It is fun to have you here. You deny your roots, IMO. You are, to me, an "Operational Definition" of a "Pomo Multiculturalist." :^)

The cancer is not something called Muslim culture, it's whatever precepts these males use to justify their actions and how widely they are shared.

In short, CULTURE.
