I suspect most people do a pretty good job of putting the the day the conflict with Islam finally touched US soil our of their mind.

It first touched me when many of my peers were slaughtered in Lebanon in 1983. On September 11, I found myself within eyesight of the WTC on a college campus surrounded by Muslim foriegn exchange students watching the CNN broadcast and looking at the horror not to far away. I had the dubious distinction to take a class of one Professor Barbara Foley who made some comments to the WSJ that the US was at fault for this attack as a result of our fascist policies.

Amazing the things they teach in our version of Madrassas here in the US. My take on some of the rantings of these left wing wackos is that all wrong in the world was caused by white Anglo Saxon men.

The consequences of our actions and inactions will fall closer and closer to more US citizens. Maybe then we will have the political will to confront the Saudi's and others who are working to destroy the West.
