I still say she was a nice lady. I could tell you about Sierra Club execs with the same hypocritical behavior. We'll have to agree to disagree. I say land should be managed for the greatest good for the greatest number of people for the longest period of time. That means keep the heck out of Wilderness Areas, manage for a reasonable number of spotted owls, manage old-growth corridors, manage scenic byways, manage wildlife habitat, and grow wood like mad on the land that is best suited for it.

I've only been to Texas once, and saw only the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, but I've been to Colorado where I saw a fair number of oil rigs pumping oil quietly within sight of residential areas, ski areas, prairie dog towns, highways, and pretty much anything you can mention. They did not seem to be hurting a darn thing.
