Van Smith had the AMD PDF file at the end of his presentation to download. I still have it on my hard drive and can e-mail it to you if it is no longer online. Every single slide has the AMD logo on top of the page, so one would have to be blind not to see it there. How Van Smith describes it, and how he exaggerated his involvement is his business. On the other hand, if disclosure is what you want, don't you think that that if Intel were to be held to AMD standard, Sysmark benchmarks should be labeled as developed or paid for by Intel? That's what Tom was implying. Don't you agree with him, since your newly found respect for him?Look, and take a step back. Ethically, no one should stand for a company making their product look better without disclosing the special procedures that they required to make it that way. Likewise, no one should stand for a company that aims at ruining the reputation of their competitor and affiliated organization by underhandedly giving exclusive information to someone from the media without using themselves as a reference. Again, you post is based on a false premise that AMD tried to hide their involvement. Once through their research, they gave the information away on their own presentation, with their own logo. I am sure Anand got it as well, and seeing the info, he pulled Sysmark from his set of benchmarks and said he will investigate. He did not publish the AMD presentation, but there was no exclusivity at this point (even though there might have been early on, when AMD wanted to work through this with Tom). Since he refused, they did it alone. Joe
