Also, I might add, there was little opposition to our involvement in Vietnam early on; Well, this time it's worse. Now we have opposition from the start. the opposition really formed AFTER the weak leaders had walked away from their mess. Same outcome as my previous note. The "strong leader" that took us out catalized the opposition with heavy, indiscriminate bombing of civilian centers. We still lost the war, thousands were killed, communism was still defeated around the world (through containment) and our soldiers came home to a hostile divided country.... Al
