Les, I can see where the writer is coming from, but I don't think honesty is the key point here. One guy is right and the other is wrong. The author thinks he knows which is which. He may be right, but, if he's wrong, would he characterize himself as a crook? Shameful, accepting money for writing an article that turned out to be wrong. <G>

BTW, the first time I heard the 2% number was from Art Laffer at The Colorado State Bankers Conference. That was 1987. We are much closer today than we were when Laffer made his prediction. And I didn't doubt his honesty back then. Just his correctitude. <VBG>

he should transfer it all to a discount broker and avoid the fees altogether -- such step changes are indicative of someone who doesn't know what they are doing -- the other fellow is not much better ...

That said, I'm sure present company included is worth his 20% off the top or whatever he gets <vbg>
