Hey, some trick news (right on schedule) masked as good news.
Note that no where in the report does it indicate how much the deal was worth. This is because it could have been anywhere from $25,000 per month to $250,000 per month.
You know, the way competition is going, a 2.5G fiber or wavelength lease will be only worth $2500 per month by end of next year. Basically, the point is that the deal is not worth much compared to what they need, and their burn rate, and thus no mention of the worth of the deal.

The announcement:
Level 3 Announces Contract With Pan-European Research Community; Will Provide 2.5Gbit Transatlantic Wavelength From London to New York
