Another thing we should all keep in mind is that 1X didn't immediately set Korea on fire when it got lit up. We had numerous posts here asking if anyone knew how 1X was going in Korea, what the applications were, was it working properly, etc. Implementing a new system and capabilities on this scale takes time. It's easy to lose sight of that in today's world. Perceptions change slowly, and there is a critical mass of users that must be reached before something can become a "gotta have" item. Let Sprint and Verizon work out the kinks in their offerings, and get handsets/PDAs on the shelves, then see what the kids/spouses are asking for this Christmas... Chances are it'll look alot like Korea, or the current numbers coming out of KDDI in Japan. Then watch the wailing and moaning out of Europe and the GSM/TDMA/GPRS/EDGE based companies here in the US... DWB
