1X will really take off when enough users are out on the streets with their Gee-Whiz color screen/1X/GPS/BREW phones sharing pictures, viewing maps, checking surf conditions (yeah, I like that one), watching movie clips, etc. Imagine users with standard phones seeing others with their Sprint/Verizon(someday!) phones. They'll be sold like no TV marketing can sell.
