Hizbullah?

Hizbullah has a very specific and narrow focus with regard to American hegemony: keeping American presence out of the Mideast. Hizbullah has never attacked American interests upon our native soil. Hizbullah's history of conflict against the Israeli occupation in South Lebanon was legitimate focusing upon military targets via guerrilla warfare. The Hizbullah party serves an important social role in Lebanon.

The reason Hizbullah is bastardized by pro-Israeli hawks relates to their successful campaign in South Lebanon and the message imparted upon the rest of the Arab world. The Israelis can be defeated.

Let's just call a spade a spade on this subject.

Talking about Steyn won't get us anywhere. And, clearly, talking about anything so innocent and promising as multiculturalism won't get us anywhere either. As for that long list of bad guys, it's important to distinguish between the ones that pose global threats and the ones that are engaged in either regional conflict or civil wars.

The only clear case I've seen of global terrorism is Al Qaeda.
