Yup, and do you think Cheney's potential war games over in Iraq will make us any safer...?? IMO, we have done very little to successfully attack Al Qaeda (our major threat) and by increasing tensions in the Middle East we may be actually doing what Bin Laden would want...Al Qaeda recruitment could go up if we get involved in a long protracted conflict that does not have a broad coalition behind it...JMHO.

The only clear case I've seen of global terrorism is Al Qaeda.

You've left out our old friends Abu Nidal, Carlos the Jackal, the Baader-Meinhof gang, the IRA, and some others. They share training camps and teach each other techniques. I dunno, teach each other the secret terrorist handshake or something. Sell each other weapons. Stuff like that.

You may face the prospect of Al Qaeda armed with WMD with equanimity but it scares me spitless.
