Yes, our ships normally have no soldiers on them.

What would have been the mission of our ships? Fly sorties in support of Taiwan? Would that weaken our campaign in Iraq? What other firefight would flare up in the Middle East and the World? How do you know we would not end up with a much worse problem that the one we began with?
