Do tell more about amounts and types of non-government funding for public high schools.

Do tell more about the desperate decay of infrastructure of DC schools and what led to that.

Do tell how you and most others here managed to get an education without benefit of a laptop. Not to get too Lincolnesque on you but much of my pre-college schooling was in non-airconditioned, decrepit structures situated in hot steamy climates and probably laden with every hazardous condition in the EPA's book of horrors. Nearly everyone learned early how to read, write and perform mathematical chores.

Student-teacher ratios in some of the lowest performing DC schools are some of the best among public high schools in the country.

Percentage of faculty in DC high schools with advanced degrees (in mostly meaningless subjects, I suspect)is over 80 percent.

All the numbers are part of the public record and you may look them up. Next time I'm in the library I'll take a look at the Jona-thing's spin on the subject.
