Read the definition of coward.
I don't happen to think braveness is particularly positive. Many people considered brave strike me as total depraved homicidal maniacs. Osama would be in that category.

Now, where was it I talked well of him?

bravery and courage - same thing (dictionary sends you to courage, when you look up bravery)

cour·age Pronunciation Key (kûrj, kr-)
n.
The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution; bravery.

Are courageous people good? Are they fighting for a good cause? NO- there were courageous Nazis for goodness sake. There are courageous Palestinian terrorists- and they are horrible. But they are certainly filled with the quality of spirit that allows them to face fear- and kill a bunch of people. I think the sooner we realize that, the sooner we will understand them better, and the sooner maybe we can reach a real solution. Redefining the enemy never won any territory, and frequently loses the war, if it puts you out of touch with reality. (IMO)

Laz, this is one of those relativly rare times when I support X <g>.

Noting a positive quality about someone doesn't mean you think well about them. I could say for example that some dictator was charismatic, or that some very mean aquaitance of mine was physically attractive. Does that mean I think well of them?

Tim

"Brave" is generally considered a
positive attribute. Need I say more?

Hmmm. So if you think somebody was brave, you automatically think well of them?

So there is nobody you consider brave who you don't think well of.

We'll keep that in mind for your future posts.
