I think brave often slides into foolhardy. It is also quite obvious that bravery like brute strength is in the service of neither "good" nor "evil"- it merely belongs to whomever has it. On both sides of any conflict there are likely to be actions considered "brave"- unless Laz is reviewing the conflict. Then our guys would be brave, and their guys would be cowards, no matter what actually happens to be going on. i don't actually subscribe to the theory that the dictionary is on "our" side, or that words need to be manipulated quite that much in order that we feel good about ourselves (or are sufficiently hostile to someone else).
