Agreed. We have some seriously difficult economic times ahead. The government and media have done the average person much harm by not reporting economic information accurately.

From my own experience, talking with friends, relatives, coworkers, I believe that only 1 or 2 percent of the U.S. public realizes how much trouble our financial system is in.

I keep asking myself if I am being too pessimistic and perhaps I am but it is my conviction and I see little harm in selling overpriced real estate assets and hoarding some cash, silver, and gold.

Interesting times indeed, and as you eluded, the politicians are still playing games. All while our financial system slowly collapses.

Do we have a slow bleed, like Japan, or does it accelerate?
Inflation vs Deflation?
Will the Fed monetize our deficit spending?

Regardless, I don't believe the next few years will be kind to the vast majority of the people in this country.

I feel that I've done much to get and be prepared for the future.
