OT, these markets are a little boring today.

It's sooooooo "great" that the baseball strike got settled just in time. Had the strike gone on, the national pastime would have become the national past-time and begun its final death spiral.

I love the Yankees' attitude--why should we share anything?, just let the other teams suffer and die. Survival of the fittest, Schumpeterian creative destruction at its best.

But if the leagues continue the way they are, who are the Yankees going to play? And more importantly, if baseball's money franchises continue to be like Team USA in Olympic basketball, who's going to care?
