Better filters and power amplifiers, technology for modest RF-frequencies like this has improved a lot in 50 years. Btw, there is no need to send ananlog and digital TV on the same bands here, the analog channels were moved out of the way some 7-10 years ago. (that is the whole issue with CSPAN and "digital must carry", kicking out CSPAN as the first in US) DTV isn't that much more cost-demanding than a 3G handset, and enough power and space, both designed for this new generation silycone. Btw, audio CDs are now made more difficult to copy, as well as illegal to copy even for personal use. Ilmarinen
