You are right - that call is going to be crucial. Not only will INTC talk about semi sales and outlook, etc, but they will be asked about their capital expenditure plans for next year.

The analysts are all convinced they are going to lower their capital expenditure plans for next year. Since it is so widely expected, this reduction is probably already priced into the stock. If Intel affirms their previous plans for capital expenditures for 2003, the market reaction for semi-equips should be quite positive.
