Cary, There was some hopeful news from the mideast this weekend amidst all the assasinations on both sides. 2 prominent palestinians attacked the Suicide bombings not only as ineffective and counterproductive but as immoral. They called for passive resistance a la Ghandi(brian does not have the monopoly on ghandi) and MLK. If the Palestinians buy into this and can control the terrorists in their midst while employing passive resistance and building transparent democratic institutions, peace will come well before Nasdaq 5000. Enemies who hate each other passionately become the peacemakers. Hope so anyway. And please dont call me naive, i am only hoping here. mike
