Bush's plain talk has on the contrary possibly QUICKENED the reform movement. It certainly seems to have upped the ante. We shouldn't shirk from loudly declaring our support for representative government.

It just as likely made it much more difficult because reform would be perceived as an American thing and make it much more difficult for reformers to work. But, obviously, neither of us know squat. One of those things we'll just have to wait and see.
