Victor: There was a global outpouring of support after Sept 11 and plenty of support for us to enter Afghanistan. I received calls from Muslims in Asia that I work with -- out of the blue -- expressing their sincere condolences. We squandered that support.

As for power, I have, on many occasions represented the United States. I am not unfamiliar with the process of power. We should have and could have built a broad base of support to invade Iraq -- but we did not. It is a major screw-up. George Bush Sr. did it with flair. George Bush Jr. sent Dick Cheney and he got his ass kicked. He got nowhere. And that is where we are now on "coalition building". If we go into Iraq -- and that could very well be what happens -- it will be on far less favorable terms than we could have had. Our military deserves better political leadership.

>> Approx 70% of the US people favor invasion of Iraq. <<

of course they do, because they have been lied to by the bush administration and the jewish-dominated media. if american were told the truth about our intentions in the middle east they would not favor going to war.

>> Much like in Afghanistan following Sept 11. We had no real, meaningful support <<

hogwash. there was plenty of support following 9/11 for going into afghanistan.

>> We can do Iraq and get it done quickly without Europe or Australia's kangaroos or wallabies <<

just because we can do it doesn't mean we should do it. might does not make right.

>> Most Iraqis hate Saddam with a passion. And have for years. <<

well then let them remove him from power. "those who would be free, must strike the blow".

>> You have been eating too much of what the media is feeding you <<

hah! you should talk!

>> The panzies in Europe have benefitted VASTLY from our great victory over the savage, evil Al Quada in Afghanistan <<

great victory over al qaeda eh? now who has been imbibing media propaganda. we are a long way from proclaiming victory over al qaeda. bush should be focusing 100% attention on hunting down al qaeda and securing the homeland instead of cowing to a bunch of zionists and inflaming the middle east with a pre-emptive strike on israel's enemy saddam.

>> Nothing new there. Check last century. We keep doing it for them. The Europeans are lazy and they do not value what little freedom they do still have. Yet who can blame them? They no longer rate in the world. So why should they bother? <<

the united states is following in their footsteps you big goof. we are taking the same path as the british empire, starting endless wars and making commitments all over the world we cannot possibly live up to. we are pursuing free trade and the endless wars that accompany it. just like britain did.
