It did not show much more than what my original links showed......which is that GM
was not alone in helping the demise of the streetcar. They were helped by some municipalities. So what?

The sources also showed that the cable cars and trolleys where on there way out before GM and its partners got involved, and that they disappeared from places where the companies where not involved. The economics of the system was nor working well. If it was working so well they wouldn't have disappeared whatever GM did.

And why the hell are you defending GM?

Why did I defend Clinton when on this thread he was accused of raping Monica Lewinsky. I'm a bigger fan of GM then of Clinton even though I don't care a ton about either. I am just sticking up for accuracy rather then wild flights of fancy.

you do not stand to gain from GM
screwing us..........so why do you care?

I stand to lose by decisions being made based on inaccurate information and conspiracy theories. I also stand to lose by the thought that companies are so out to screw us that its good if the government screws them first, or by any significant move to more regulation.
